Great for babies. Love that it doesn’t smell strong, and i am no longer worried weather it might sting my baby’s eyes.

I’ve been reading about going shampoo free or rarely shampooing. I liked the idea, but shampooing my hair never or once a week bothers me. So i started looking at sulfate free shampoos. Oy-freaking-vey!!! Do you know how much ‘adult’ sulfate free shampoo goes for??? It’s a crime. Grand larceny!

Sodium laurel sulfate (aka SLS) and sodium laureth sulfate (aka as sodium laurel ether sulfate, aka as SLES) are used in most shampoos. The SLS and SLES produces the suds in shampoo, soap, and, YES, dish washing liquid. You know how you can never get the suds out of your hair? Just like when you squeeze a sponge, there’s always a little bit of suds in it. That’s because of the SLS and SLES. There was an internet rumor that SLS/SLES caused cancer. That is untrue. It does, however, cause dry hair. Causing dry hair, in my opinion, is cause for maiming.

That’s why I purchased Johnson’s Baby *Natural* Shampoo. All ingredients are listed on this page. Only three of the ingredients are synthetic, and those are sodium benzoate (for freshness and used in many food products), sodium hydroxide and citric acid (both to adjust Ph levels). Many people are concerned about sodium in shampoos; however, it is a natural Ph balancer. Without, the shampoo would be too acidic.

It is watery, but one doesn’t need much. One doesn’t need to wash the strands of hair, only the roots. As one rinses the shampoo down through the hair, the hair is cleaned. You may have to get used to the low sudsing factor.

Also, the price of this shampoo sure as heck beats the price of all other sulfate-free shampoos.
